You can now pay for purchases easily with your smartphone and without entering the PIN at the cash register terminal *. All you have to do is unlock your smartphone and hold it to the terminal - it's easy, fast and secure!
Make your smartphone even smarter. With the “Digital Cards” app, you save yourself the hassle of searching for cash. Order your digital girocard or store your Visa or Mastercard in the “Digital Cards” app and turn your smartphone into a digital wallet.

The payment is released regardless of the amount and very easily with the unlocking function stored in the smartphone. Depending on your smartphone model, you have the option of choosing between fingerprint, device code, password or pattern.
However, if you prefer to enter the PIN on the payment terminal, you can store this for your digital girocard in the card settings at any time.
Fast !
If you have to go fast - use express payment! You no longer have to open the "Digital Maps" app on the payment terminal. Just unlock your smartphone and hold it to the terminal - done! If you enable the payment with the unlock function and do not enter the PIN, it is even faster and super easy.
Secure !
When making payments With your digital card you benefit from the same security standards as with conventional card payments and your data is just as secure in the "Digital Cards" app as in your browser-based online banking application of the Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken.
New smartphone?
You want to buy a new smartphone but don't want to forego the convenience of your digital maps? No problem! After installing the “Digital Maps” app on your new smartphone, simply use the restore function. After just a few steps, your digital maps will be available again on your new mobile phone. We will delete the digital maps on your old device for you.
Further functions of the app:
- Bad network or no data volume left? - Payments with the digital cards are also possible without an internet connection.
- Keep an eye on your expenses - the last 10 transactions are displayed in the "Digital cards" app. You may need to log in to your VR-BankingApp to update.
- Play it safe! - Deactivate the payment function of individual cards in your "Digital Cards" app, for example if you want to travel.
Paying has never been so easy, fast and secure as with the "Digital Cards" app. All you need is:
- a private account capable of payment at a participating Volksbank Raiffeisenbank
- a valid TAN procedure (Sm @ rtTan, SecureGo, mobileTAN)
- an active online banking access
- an NFC-enabled smartphone with at least Android 6.0 (Marshmallow)
- the current version of the VR-BankinApp
